International scientific conference “Law on corporate social responsibility around the world and the developmental trends of Vietnam in the context of integration”

On November 6th, Binh Duong University, in cooperation with Belarus State University (of the Republic of Belarus), will be hosting an international scientific conference with the theme “Law on corporate social responsibility around the world and the developmental trends of Vietnam in the context of integration”. The conference will be held in dual format including: Live attendance at Binh Duong University and the online platform through Zoom.

The Organizing Committee states: Corporate social responsibility consists of not only the charitable activities of the business that contributes to society, but also the compliance of the business to international and legal standards in the fields of labor, environment, investment, and employment security, etc. In the context of Vietnam’s deeper international integration, the requirements of corporate social responsibility have been and continue to be important conditions in commercial activities. This is not only true on the enterprise level, but also the international level as it is associated with national requirements of internationalization of international standards and the improvement of the law on corporate social responsibility in general. It is in such a context that Binh Duong University collaborated with Belarus State University to organize this conference.

It can be said that this conference is to be a forum, a playground for exchanges of legal science between Binh Duong University and both domestic and foreign scientific researchers as well as the business communities in Vietnam. The discussion revolves around international standards on corporate social responsibility; international Vietnamese law on corporate social responsibility; and the practice of implementation of the law on corporate social responsibility - the Organizing Committee added.

According to the program framework, the conference will be held in 2 sessions as follows: Session 1 - Law on corporate social responsibility around the world; Session 2 - Law on corporate responsibility in the fields of labor and environment in Vietnam. The conference will be bilingual: Vietnamese and English.
